New Video from Dende: "Feira de São Joaquim"

<p>Fresh back from Lisbon, scene of WOMEX 2022, Brazilian percussion maestro Dende has a new video out today. <br></p> <p>"Feira de São Joaquim" celebrates the famed open air market in Salvador, Bahia where locals shop for everything from fruits and vegetables to livestock and supplies for the practice of <em>candomblé</em>. The video takes you into the visual spectacle and energy of a Salvador market, with the rich flavor of accordion-driven <em>forro</em> in the sound. </p> <p>Afropop interviewed Dende in Lisbon about his remarkable career.
