<p>We recently launched the<a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZkFL0SqZb8KAgMdbGHzIV-QhbXX-duR-"> Afropop Worldwide Top Video playlist</a> on YouTube and this week we have five great new entries, beginning with Senegalese singer and multi-instrumentalist <strong>Cheikh Ibra Fam</strong> with a message about water. "Innovation Africa (Open the Tap)."</p><figure><iframe loading="lazy" width="500" height="281" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/8z8GwuZDpPY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></figure> <p>Next, the latest from Congolese rumba star <strong>Fally Ipupa</strong> who is gradually releasing tracks and videos from his forthcoming, epic, 31-song album<em> Formule 7</em>. For more check out <a href="https://afropop.test.ejaedesign.com/articles/fally-ipupas-formula-7">Banning Eyre's recent interview with Fally</a>. </p> <figure><iframe loading="lazy" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/d1BdlPBGq2s" allowfullscreen="" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0"></iframe></figure> <p><strong>Lucas Santtana</strong> is an innovative, soulful Brazilian artist from Salvador, Bahia. We first met him at WOMEX 2022 in Porto. His new album, <em>Sorties</em>, will be featured on our January 2023 program on new Brazilian music. This song, featuring Flavia Coelho, is a playful critique on modern technological life, "Muita Powe, Pouca Yoga." "Many Poses, Little Yoga."</p> <figure><iframe loading="lazy" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ZmQ5r7ZzD50" allowfullscreen="" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0"></iframe></figure> <p><strong>Sampa the Great</strong> has been blowing up this year with her saucy blend of African pop and hip-hop. This clip, featuring Angelique Kidjo, is Angelique's pick for Afropop's year-end show "New Africa 2022."</p> <figure><iframe loading="lazy" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/UGomSuDPeSU" allowfullscreen="" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0"></iframe></figure> <p>Finally another young rising star, this time in Nigeria's competitive Afrobeats market, <strong>Ayra Starr</strong>. Ayra has been wracking up huge numbers on YouTube and other platforms. Definitely one to watch! This video "<em>Rush</em>" has earned 42-million views in two months! (She has a newer video too, but it's a bit rude for this playlist!)</p> <figure><iframe loading="lazy" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/crtQSTYWtqE" allowfullscreen="" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0"></iframe></figure>
