<p>We can broadcast the sounds and tell you what we saw, but it spares everyone several thousand words each when we can just show you in pictures what we saw at the Copacabana during globalFEST 2019: Cha Wa in their handmade Mardi Gras suits; the evening wear on Orquesta Akokán, the Afro-futuristic dancing from Gato Preto, sweat dripping from BCUC, psychedelic wings lifting Combo Chimbita, 47SOUL with one hand on a frame drum and one on the synthesizers. In a word, it was wild.</p>
