Pura Vida Costa Rica: Hybrids in Central America Feature Playlist
<p>Costa Rican popular music is based on dynamic hybrids that blend salsa, cumbia, and merengue with reggae, rap, calypso, ska and other forms. This program explores the evolution of the vibrant music scene of this unique Central American nation. Reporting from the ground in San Jose and Limón, producer David Katz speaks with artists and insiders about history and music in Costa Rica, and brings us many great tunes along the way.
