Jacqueline Crooks’s Fire Rush

<p><strong> </strong>In March 2023, the British-Jamaican author Jacqueline Crooks's debut novel <em>Fire Rush</em> was published by Penguin Random House to widespread acclaim. The book is a semi-autobiographical work set in the sound system scenes of London and Bristol during the 1970s and 80s, with a later section unfolding in rural Jamaica.
