We Are All Worthy of One Another
<p>Producer Harris Eisenstadt traveled back to Matanzas, Cuba for the fourth time in the summer of 2018 to play <em>batá </em>drums at Afro-Cuban <em>Santería</em> ceremonies. But he also returned to hatch an idea with the Matanzas-based production house El Almacén, which means “the warehouse” in Spanish. Together they began a music and film project that tells the stories of people from vastly different walks of life in a small Cuban city, known as both the cradle of Afro-Cuban culture and the Athens of Cuba, due to its rich colonial history.</p>
